    LMS1-LA Series Manual

LMS1-LA as our ingenuity research and development of a new generation of dual power automatic transfer switch, in the performance and technology to achieve a major breakthrough. The product provides 63A, 125A, 250A, 400A, 630A and other rated current specifications, whether it is the continuous operation of massive servers in data centers, or the uninterrupted power supply of life support equipment in hospital ICU wards, the stable operation of elevator and fire fighting system in high-rise buildings can fully meet the power demand in different scenarios.

Its switching speed can be called industry-leading, switching time only 10ms-50ms, with millisecond response speed to complete power conversion. In the data center, the LMS1-LA automatic transfer switch can switch to the standby power supply in a very short period of time in the face of sudden power failure, avoiding data loss and system collapse caused by momentary power failure; in the hospital environment, the LMS1-LA automatic transfer switch can switch to the standby power supply in a very short period of time, millisecond-level power switching can guarantee the stable operation of precision instruments and first-aid equipment in operating rooms, and escort the safety of patients. When applied to high-rise buildings, fast power changeover ensures smooth parking of elevators, normal operation of fire fighting systems and improved building Factor of safety.
The transfer switch is composed of a high performance excitation contactor and an intelligent controller. When working, the electromagnetic coil produces a strong and stable attraction to drive the switching action to ensure the instant completion of power switching. This feature not only effectively guarantees the rapid switching of the power supply when the equipment is powered off, but also realizes the seamless connection of the power supply, which provides a reliable and solid power guarantee for the equipment with strict requirements for power continuity.

The Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch Controller is a dual power supply system for the design of intelligent control equipment, designed to ensure that in the complex and changeable power environment, load can be sustained, stable and reliable power supply. Through the comprehensive monitoring of the two power supplies, it can accurately judge the status of the power supply, and quickly switch the power supply according to the preset logic, which effectively solves the problem of power interruption caused by power failure, widely used in hospitals, data centers, financial institutions, industrial production and other areas of high demand for power supply continuity.
    Functional Characteristics
    Precise Power Supply Monitoring
Voltage Monitoring: Real-time, accurate measurement of two power supply voltage values, with settable over-voltage and under-voltage thresholds. For example, for 220V mains, it can accurately identify voltages higher than 242V (overvoltage) or lower than 198V (undervoltage).
Frequency Monitoring: Strictly tracks the frequency of the power supply to ensure its stability in the range of 50 Hz ± 0.5 Hz, ensuring normal operation of frequency-sensitive equipment.
Phase Monitoring: In three-phase power supply systems, accurately monitors the 120° phase difference between phases and timely detects anomalies such as excessive phase deviation or wrong phase order.
    Intelligent Switching Control
Automatic Switching: When faults such as over-voltage, under-voltage, phase loss, or abnormal frequency are detected on the main power supply, the controller automatically switches the load to standby power in milliseconds to seconds, ensuring uninterrupted supply.
Manual Switching: Equipped with manual switching function — operators can switch power supplies flexibly via the controller panel buttons or remote commands.
Flexible Switching Logic: Customizable priority between main and standby power. By default, mains serves as main power and generators as backup. Switching delay (0.5–5 seconds, adjustable) prevents false switching caused by instantaneous fluctuations.
Multiple Alarm Prompts: Immediately issues audible and visual alarm signals upon power anomaly or system fault, displaying specific fault types (over-voltage, under-voltage, phase loss, abnormal frequency) for quick diagnosis.
Convenient Communication: Select models include RS485 and Ethernet interfaces for seamless integration with upper-level monitoring systems, enabling remote monitoring, remote operation, and real-time data transmission.

    Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch Controller and what does it do?
A Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) Controller is an intelligent device that monitors two power sources simultaneously and automatically switches the connected load from a failed main power supply to a healthy standby power supply. This ensures continuous and uninterrupted power delivery to critical equipment in hospitals, data centers, and industrial facilities.
What is the difference between the Y-701 and Y-702 models?
The primary differences lie in display mode and additional features. The Y-701 uses indicator lights for display, while the Y-702 uses an LED display. The Y-702 also adds programmable output, RS485 communication functionality, and enhanced normal/standby power indication — making it more suitable for systems requiring remote monitoring and advanced integration.
How fast does the controller switch between power supplies during a fault?
The controller is designed to switch from the main power supply to the standby power supply within a very short time — typically ranging from tens of milliseconds up to a few seconds, depending on the configuration and switching delay settings. The delay time is adjustable within a range of 0.5 to 5 seconds to prevent false switching caused by instantaneous power fluctuations.
What types of power faults can the ATS controller detect?
The controller can detect a wide range of power supply faults, including over-voltage (e.g., above 242V on a 220V system), under-voltage (e.g., below 198V), frequency deviation (outside 50 Hz ± 0.5 Hz), phase loss, and incorrect phase order in three-phase systems. It supports four-phase lacking phase detection and three-phase over-voltage/under-voltage detection for both normal and standby power inputs.
Does the Y-702 support remote monitoring and communication?
Yes. The Y-702 is equipped with an RS485 communication interface (terminals 485A and 485B), allowing it to connect to an upper-level monitoring system or SCADA. The default communication parameters are: Local Host address 1 (adjustable 1–32), Baud Rate 9600 bps, Data Bit 8, No Parity, Stop Bit 1. This enables real-time remote monitoring, remote control, and data transmission to a centralized management center.
What industries and applications are best suited for this ATS controller?
The Dual Power ATS Controller is widely used in any environment where continuous power supply is critical. Key application areas include hospitals and medical facilities, data centers and server rooms, financial institutions and banking infrastructure, industrial production lines, emergency lighting systems, and commercial buildings. Its combination of automatic switching, alarm functions, and communication capabilities makes it ideal for high-reliability power management.
