    Frequently Asked Questions
Q What is the difference between the Y-701 and Y-702 controllers?
The Y-701 uses a traditional indicator light display, while the Y-702 is upgraded to an LED display. Additionally, the Y-702 includes an RS485 communication unit and programmable output (terminals F1/F), which are not available on the Y-701.
Q What fuse values (FU1/FU2) should be used with different ATS models?
The fuse value depends on the ATS model connected: use 2A for GA type ATS, 10A for C/N/S type ATS, and 16A for N/Q type ATS. Always refer to the marking on the cable (A/B/C/N) for correct connection.
Q Does the Y-701/Y-702 series support generator auto-start functionality?
Yes, both Y-701 and Y-702 support generator auto-start function. In the Y-701 controller, terminals F1 and F are dedicated starting generator signal outputs. In the Y-702, these terminals serve as programmable outputs.
Q What communication protocol does the Y-702 RS485 interface use?
The Y-702 RS485 communication interface operates at a baud rate of 9600 bps, with 8 data bits, no parity bit, and 1 stop bit. The default local host address is 1, and it can be adjusted within the range of 1–32.
Q What types of fault detection does the Y-701/Y-702 series support?
The series supports four-phase lacking phase detection as well as three-phase over-voltage and under-voltage detection for both normal and standby power. The microprocessor-based design ensures high circuit sensitivity to accurately capture subtle changes in the circuit.
Q What is the output behavior of terminals T1 and T2?
Terminals T1 and T2 provide an "all off" signal output. The output type — active or passive — depends on the ATS model. When equipped with a PC class three-section ATS, the output is 220V AC active. When equipped with a seclusion type ATS, the output is passive.
